What EY’s Government & Public Sector team can do for you

With the recent passage of the American Rescue Plan Act, state and local governments have a generational opportunity to invest in pandemic recovery.  Depending on how the funds are managed, they can drive renewal that lasts or provide temporary relief and exacerbate fiscal problems that existed pre-COVID.

EY has the capability and capacity to support governments in every facet of managing ARPA funds: strategy, project management, compliance, and reporting.  Our team of professionals has deep public sector experience and expertise in disaster recovery, economic development, infrastructure, human services, education, community engagement, performance management, and more.  We also offer a rapidly deployable and scalable grants and assistance management system that streamlines application and review and features real-time reporting, data security, and auditability.

Resources

  • GASB Lease Accounting Standard (GASB 87)
This new standard transfers leases onto the balance sheet as a lease liability and lease asset permissions. A comprehensive leasing system can assist you on your compliance journey but still requires significant resources and preparation. Each lease contract needs to be reviewed to gather all data required for reporting.
